Once again, a case of a beautiful picture that doesn't meet the challeng but was "shoehorned" into it by the title. I like it, however, the picture itself doesn't remotely convey the feeling of freedom in me. I would have given it a better score in another challenge.

Call me crazy, but for some reason I find this picture kinda disturbing. Just out of curiousty, what made you decide to paint ther face black? I think a natural looking face would have been much better and I personally would have scored it higher. But, gotta give it to ya for being this daring knowing "out of the box" shots don't do well here.

I like this photo, however, I think it needs a little improvement. First, a shallowe DOF would have blurred the distracting background and the image is way too small.

IMHP, this is one of the best shots in this challenge. THe idea is very original, it's well executed and obviously wel planned. I dare say this will win a ribbon.

OK, so I guess it meets the challenge but only because you manipulated it either with a purple filter or in an image editing software. This is not a natural looking sunset becuse sunsets or sunrises do not naturaly look like this. It feels to me that you made it this way just because the challenge was "Purple". I don't know if I'm explaning myself clearly, but, although I think this is good photo overall, I think you tried to shoehorn it into the challenge. BTW, your horizon is tilted, this isn't visually appealing.
