Which One of These Things is Not Like the Others?by levyj413Comment: Jeffrey, couldn't vote, but wanted to comment. I really like this one. the composition is very pleasing, as the tilt is just the right amount. I like the colors in the bottles. A very nice take on the subject. Well done. |

Wildflower Simplicity by PhillydigishooterComment: I think there were a couple of things working against this image getting a higher score. One, it appears to be slightly out of focus. Looking at the center of the flowers, it appears soft. That is one sure-fire way to a lower score. Sharpness rules on DPC. Another more minor thing is the way some flowers are cropped on the edges. it makes the eyes flow right off the frame, as if looking for the rest of the flowers. The diagonal made by the main stem is a positive. If that had been accentuated, it would have made a stronger impact. One last little nit-pick - the background splotch of whiteness on the left middle edge is a little distracting. it doesn't fit well with the rest of the wonderful green bokeh. |

Curlicues by noranekoComment: Catherine, i love it. the circles play nicely with the angled lines of the composition. the colors are rich and wonderfully cool. Well done. |

Reachby MelethiaComment: Deb, I like the textures in this one. I also like how the DOF is arranged so that the front flower, and the portion of the wall are in focus, with OOF areas in between. Adds a nice tension to the photo. Also, the way the shadows reach out from the left add a wonderful balance to the flora on the right. |

handrailby boysetsfireComment: I would have cropped this so there's no one in the frame except that hand. Looks really cool that way. the other subjects in the frame simply distract from the simple but powerful hand. just my opinion of course. |

Mesa Archby bryanbrazilComment: like the flare, and the inclusion of the person. maybe a little flat in the shadows, though. |
