Hmm - I'd say the face is quite the subject, even though not the whole face. Still, I'll bet you've heard that already.

I like how the focus is sharpest the eyelashes... the tear streak (if that's what it is) is pretty subtle - I almost didn't notice it. Other than that, there's not a lot here to capture attention.

But don't let this (or other comments) dissuade you. If you like the photo and it has sentimental value to you, ignore the scores and the comments and enjoy it!

Seems technically ok and an interesting shot, but the faces are the subject of the shot, and are pretty funny. Outside the two faces, I see no emotion in this shot. Sorry - 4.

Hmm - I bet you're getting a bit of DNMC for the faces in the shot. While you may not think they are "the focus" of this shot, I think the eye is drawn to the faces simply because they're faces. They command attention.

Outside of the faces, the only emotion here is the hands, which are nice, but not really extreme. The tones are ok and the contrast is nice. I'll give it a 5.

Nice shot, good feel to it. I think some sharpening would really have given this some kick (no pun intended), though maybe I like things over sharp.
