Six plus Twoby mpetersComment: Mark,
Mmmmmm...yummy drama with a dark and mysterious hero...or is does he play the "heavy" anti-hero? Ohhhh...the suspense! I can't wait for the movie. My only nattering naybob nitpicking is on a couple of notes...this photo will suffer from those with uncalibrated monitors and your score will suffer along with it. Also, with such a character...I'd like to see exactly that...MORE character. I want to see some kind of deep raw emotion from The Old West (picture Clint Eastwood's challenge "make my day" type of emotion). I see you used the rain as a "prop" of sorts to add weather drama...love that idea! However, to create more drama, I'd like to see the character interact more with the weather and how it's affecting his MOOD! Overall, your black and white photography carries strong weight and the obvious well-honed skills of a first class photographer.
The next time I see Clint...I'll give him your number for a portrait! ;-) |

4378web.jpgby mpetersComment: Oh! I love the star rays in the sun and the silhouette with long shadows effect provides lots of drama to an otherwise ordinary task of boarding a plane. The dramatic effect lends an excitement to the adventure ahead for this gentleman and his two sons. My only nattering naybob nitpick is the crop. Perhaps, cropping out part of the left side of the photo would strengthen the story and the angle of the plane wing to lend the photo a bit more depth of interest. As always, Mark, your photography is superb! Message edited by author 2009-12-04 14:33:08. |

Sunset Limitedby mpetersComment: Mark, what I find quite outstanding for this photo is that the dark curve pattern in the grass matches the curve pattern of light in the sky which creates a wonderful sense of rhythm in this photo...along with the foreground interest (cool grass). The colors are strong and beautifully purple! However, my only \"nattering naybob nitpick\" would be the tones in the cloud sky seem a bit heavy. Beautiful and lovely photo, Mark! |
