Yes, it does, sometimes. Not all landscapes are pretty, particularly not when manmade. Perspective and B&W presentation work well. Might have cropped tighter so the trees (weeds?) progressed up and out of the frame, but the abrupt and visually disconcerting transition is probably more appropriate for the subject. Nice work.

There apparently is a nesting pair in a park in Springfield! Funny that they block off "nesting areas" in gigantic parks and then we find them contendedly hanging out in suburbia. I see one now and again at a park or just flying overhead while I'm driving. I never cease to be thrilled to see one :-) Congrats on your sighting (and especially having a camera handy).

Nothing perks up drab, brown leaves like a hummingbird, I always say ... well, I never said that before but I may in future. Certainly did not expect to see one in this challenge but the colors are right, so why not?
