There apparently is a nesting pair in a park in Springfield! Funny that they block off "nesting areas" in gigantic parks and then we find them contendedly hanging out in suburbia. I see one now and again at a park or just flying overhead while I'm driving. I never cease to be thrilled to see one :-) Congrats on your sighting (and especially having a camera handy). |

Hey, that's cool! I've been fortunate to see a family of eagles out by the Plains area (near Old Tavern - off west 66 not far past Haymarket). Two years in a row now I've seen the parents and an offspring. It's tricky getting a good shot without spooking them. Well done on capturing this one. |
