It's one of the green bees! I love those little things; they're adorable. It turns out there are lots of types of metallic green bees (who knew?) so that's as far as I can go with an ID. Haven't seen one up here in northern VA in a few weeks; I assume they're not too thrilled with autumnal weather.

You got great detail on the bee; just look at that eye! Nice macro :-)
