Winter Coatby scrum8Comment: Nicely framed by the branches. Lost some detail around the nose; I would try dodging the catchlights in the eyes to compensate and draw attention back there more firmly, and maybe clone some texture onto the white on the nose to tone it down. |

The Gila Woodpeckerby AzCKellyComment: How cute that it lives in a cactus! If you could bring out the red on the head and lighten up the face a little it would really highlight the bird, I think. |

blue+birdby Elvis_LComment: Looks a bit oversharpened and oversaturated. There's a green line running just above the border on the bottom that is presumably a processing artifact; it's drawing my attention from the bird. |

Trumpeter Swansby sfmorrisComment: The poses are nice; would like a little more detail visible on the faces, though that's hard with the white bodies. |

Elk Lordby crowisComment: The antlers are impressive but I feel like this would be stronger if I could see all of them, and if the face was in sharper focus. |

In-Formationby h2Comment: Pretty colors in the sky; interesting that the birds are all flying next to one another. |

Mallardby rileyComment: Interesting perspective. B&W is an unusual choice for what is usually a vibrantly colored bird, though. And I kind of want to see an eye when there is other detail. |

Bald Eagleby riversongComment: This would have been great for the minimalist challenge, composition-wise. Pretty good detail considering how high these guys fly. |
