Hope dies lastby ocelotComment: Rather a sad title :-( But don't worry; if you save the seeds you can plant more flowers next year (assuming it's not some weird sterile hybrid). I like the detail showing the lovely icy crystals and the drooping, fading petals. It looks just a touch softer than I expect at the center of the flower. |

Winter Fenceby mjusimomComment: The diagonal composition and cool tones are quite lovely, and I like that the posts and rope are worn, the trees aren't perfectly sheared, and even the snow isn't perfect. |

lock no lockby posthumousComment: Bit of settling occurred over time, eh? Give it another year and the ivy will cover both parts of the lock! Nice subject for this. Love the rust and weathered look; could use maybe a touch more DOF to get the right side lock part (uh, the slidey bit) in sharper focus. |

a little beauty in an imperfect worldby jmritzComment: Marvelous detail, and cardinals are such a lovely part of a winter scene, even if they are "common." Wish you had his tail in the picture, but still a wonderful image. |

Altes Blatt und Moos auf Kabeltrommelby bubeltrubelComment: Not going to try and google the title, so I'll just comment on the image, which is wonderful. The leaf looks fragile and beautiful and ready to blow away any second. The blues and greens complement it nicely, and the look of peeling paint and carved graffiti enhance the aged look and feel of the scene. |

Web of Pearls by eyeduphotosComment: Beautiful. Just beautiful. I think your angle, light and DOF are perfect for making those water drops look gorgeously 3-dimensional. |

Everyday Creatureby darnokComment: Some sort of moth? On a cactus? Not something I ordinarily see (moths seem indifferent to my cacti) but it makes for a pretty picture. |

Remnantby wildirisComment: The frost does a great job of making a shriveled old apple look lovely, and the ice-covered buds are quite beautiful to me. I like the contrast of the shriveled apple, the apparently whole apple, and the buds showing multiple aspects of the tree's life at once. |

Beautiful foreverby choppersComment: What a lovely idea, and the golden light bathing the couple is so very appropriate to the mood and your title. I also like the contrast between the straight, evenly spaced trees in formation and the slightly stooped couple who are far more interesting in their asymmetry and motion. |
