Aloha's Big Dayby AnnComment: There's something irresistably funny about dressing up a giant dog :-) Even if it's just a birthday hat. I'm impressed she's not drooling with food so near! I don't know if I would have used the carpet with it only partly under her; I feel like I should pull it out farther so she can sit her rear on it, too. She looks patient, but not comfortable. |

Cliff Hangerby libertyComment: How cute is that?! Great composition and nice catchlights in the little frog's eyes. |

Santa's Little Helperby TacTZillaComment: Classic. And looks quite comfy, and pleased to be comfy. And such a lovely rosed ear; I wish my dogs' ears would rose that nicely! Color looks a little too yellow/orange on my screen (I assume the dog is really more fawn colored) but overall this is quite lovely. |

Beauty not the Beastby SnapperLComment: He(?) looks regal, and like he's tolerating this but would rather be doing something else. And he looks very intelligent. Nice, classic pose and good job on the lighting. That bright spot on his back paw and the black blotches on his rump draw my eye a bit more than I'd like them too, but those eyes always pull me back. |

Sweetnessby Blind_squirrelComment: Perfectly titled! Makes me want to give her (it looks more like a her) a big hug. Beautiful job on the lighting and DOF. |

SMILE by ZeppKashComment: That's a hoot :-))) His eyes look bored, though. Maybe a little dodge and burn to perk them up? With the stark background I'd also use a little more light from one side or the other to make him look more 3-dimensional. Really great pose, though. |

Klausby boyd2000Comment: Aw, he's odd-eyed. Nice job overall; his oranges look a little too saturated on my monitor but that's a relative nit. |

Bastetby chesireComment: The pose is absolutely stunning, and the cat does look like a bored, spoiled goddess :-) On my monitor it looks like you lost some detail in the shadows, but overall a lovely job of exposing black on black AND a bright white pedestal. |

Whiter Shade Of Paleby TransitComment: Very, very nice exposure on a lovely cat, and perfect DOF to get all the critical face parts focussed. I might crop a little tighter on the left to eliminate the shadowed bit there in the corner, but maybe not, as it is in a direct line with the ear so my eye goes back to the cat after only the briefest of distractions. |

Pookyby zaflaboutComment: Pooky nicely fills the frame, and the direct, liquid-looking stare is very engaging. Slight imperfection: it looks to me like your DOF was a little shallower than you wanted and you sharpened heavily on the eyes and nose to compensate. I also see tear-stains; I always clone them out. Overall, very nice shot. |
