The white on white and partial frame from the railing are a very nice idea. I wish you had caught the cat a split-second earlier so that one ear wasn't cut off by the railing. As shot, I think this could have a little more impact if you cropped much tighter to just the cat's head (with the ear pointing to the upper left corner) and the inner curve of the curlicue on the right and a bit more on top and bottom, lightened the whole image, and dodged the eyes to bring out the catchlight in the shadowed eye and give a little more depth to the irises.

I think I'd like to see sharper detail on the ring, and since you more or less centered this it is bugging me that the crop on the left is just a little wider than on the right. Anal, I know, but I can't help it.

Pretty trees but the scene could use a bit of a twist, maybe a shot looking up into the branches and/or some dodging and burning to increase the contrast.

A Long Walk

I like this and it is largely a gray, wintry scene, but I think the impact is coming from the bright red on the umbrella and there are other shots in this challenge that aren't using color for their impact, which IMO is more in the spirit of the challenge. In a partial desat challenge this would be a great entry.
