Serious Beezinessby robstComment: Pretty amazing detail and I like his pose with his face stuck right in the bloom. |

Mountain Bluebird Breeding Plumageby hahn23Comment: I am *so* jealous!!! That is one gorgeous bird and you captured him beautifully. I might crop tighter on top (you've got the detail for it) but that's a nit. Just lovely. |

Reaching outby BpaigeComment: Lots of spooky potential in this scene. I like the lightning, the light spilling from the barn door and the white fence. Not so fond of the sidewalk and lights and such off to the right. I think I would crop much tighter and play with contrast and dodging and burning to really play up the idea of something in that barn responding to the lightning, with the fence as a leading line. Just for fun :-) |

The Tiny Tyrant Kingby DrAchooComment: And he's looking at you! I never cease to be amazed by Hummingbird shots, and this is a particularly good one in color and composition. I suspect I would have played with toning down the red in the feeder to better match the bird's head, but then I don't always know when to leave well enough alone ;-) |

Shadeby ChinarosepetalComment: I used to have some of these (Checkered or Snakeshead Frittilary) but I think the dogs killed them. Like the DOF; the green is a tad oversaturated on my monitor. |
