Why the caged bird sings...by egambleComment: Subject shows contrast in several senses of the word, which makes it interesting to me. I think the focus on the sky makes sense but it isn't visually appealing to have the window OOF, and the tilt isn't extreme enough to look purposeful. I think the point would still come across with the window in focus (but still silhouetted like it is now), and either extremely tilted or level. |

Ready To Spinby knowvakComment: I see I gave you a 6, so I thought this was good. Things I like/d: composition, subject (a spider on a tire, not something I see every day), detail on the tire, lighting on the tire. Things I think could be improved: I'd like more detail on the spider and have him better lit (looks a little blown out), maybe a tighter crop to put the spider even more off-center and make him a bigger part of the picture. Obviously I didn't agree with the majority of voters in terms of score, so maybe others can give you better insight into your final score. |

Cicadaby KatmystiryComment: Nice! You made it look pretty :-)
I think they're rather fascinating, but I may be in the minority. |

Going..Going...Gone!by PrismComment: Looks like a skipper, and there are many kinds. I expect to start seeing quite a few when my Coneflowers start blooming. They don't sit still as long as other butterflies (in my experience) so kudos on getting the middle one pretty sharply, and enough detail on the other shots to make an interesting sequence. |

Glamorousby fantomfotoComment: I do love the way those background colors complement the Leopard, and the very direct stare of a confident animal. Looking at my scores I apparently gave you a 7, so I liked it when I voted on it, too!
The right side of the image looks a bit misty, like you took the picture with a zoom through something in the foreground, or the light was shining just into that side of the lens. Don't mind it so much in the background but I'd try to fix it on the cat (maybe a little selective burning, increase in saturation and/or contrast on the overbright bits). And I'd clone out that bright thing on the left side of the leopard's cheek. Then I'd give it a 9 ;-) |

Lunchtimeby JedusiComment: OMG! That is so sweeeee-eeet! Although a bit of an ouchie for mom. And bringing back some very interesting memories from when I was a nursing mother, but I'm not going there in public :-p |

Day 7: Come on. keep up!by bobonacusComment: Very nice perspective and mom does look very confident. Most of the kids look dutiful, except for that one paying more attention to you than mom. There's always gotta' be one rebellious kid ;-) |

"And furthermore..."by tnunComment: Looks like junior is getting more impatient by the day :-) Much clearer shot (I even see a catchlight in mama's eye); I'm really glad you went back and got this. |

red dragonflyby tnunComment: I don't see red ones often around here so I'm glad you got such a nice, clear shot to share. |

Doveletby MelonMusketeerComment: Looks like it has a lot of its feathers already so it should be able to be on its own soon. can't believe it's just sitting there calmly in your wife's hand! |
