Yellow-crowned Night Heron! Gorgeous bird, nice composition and detail. Not as contrasty as some other shots; might've cropped tighter on the head for this challenge but the image is quite lovely as is.

Tons of flooding all over the US; interesting to see an animal dealing with it. Looks like she was still walking but very close to having to swim. Must be scary for your average land mammal to have to figure out how to deal with all the water suddenly in the fields and woods.

Great detail on this little one! He doesn't look very downy so he was probably about ready to leave the nest. I often find the just-fledged babies easier to get close to than the more wary adults, regardless of species. This little one looks like he thought maybe you should be doing something more useful, like feeding him ;-)

Reflecting Contrasts

Thise reflections are fabulous! They look like stained glass. I'd crop off most of the building above the lights to pur more emphasis on the lit signs and their reflections.

Lovely scene. It has a bit of a yellow cast; I'd try correcting the white balance and/or shifting the orange/yellow range toward red and desaturating slightly to get better skin tones.
