 I got this deer behind our cabin. Yes, it's flooded. We were there moving stuff and hauling stuff around when I heard some splashing behind the cabin. I didn't have much time to get a good shot because my hands were full when I saw her, then by the time I got the camera she was almost too far away for me to see her.

It's amazing to see how wild creatures cope with a flood like this one. I have seen deer in the Fl Everglades get along all right when the water was this high, but it is really tough on the little ones. I am happy to see that you are able to keep shooting, and to get on line to show us photos of what you are seeing.

Tons of flooding all over the US; interesting to see an animal dealing with it. Looks like she was still walking but very close to having to swim. Must be scary for your average land mammal to have to figure out how to deal with all the water suddenly in the fields and woods.

You might want to rotate the picture a little bit to 'straighten the horizon' as it were :- )
