BLUE - Day 23by sherpetComment: It makes a lovely abstract. You should have saved it for the BW Abstract challenge! |

Impressions of Flowersby quicheComment: You're right, the background is wonderful. The blown foreground petals don't actually look that bad in this context. |

Red Velvet Rosesby pixelpigComment: I think I like the light in the top one the most, but these all look good, and the border and triptych are a beautiful presentation of them. |

Dusty Flower Fieldby quicheComment: Usually I dislike OOF objects in the foreground, but these looking kind of scraggly almost provide a fuzzy view of what the other flowers in the field will become. They're all cheery in the sun back there, oblivious to what we see. The sepia suits it perfectly.
Oh, look, you got my imagination going :-) |

Gaillardia 2by quicheComment: I thought from the thumb this was a sunflower with holes in it, but this is much nicer ;-) Cool perspective and the colors against the blue sky with the puffy white clouds are perfect! |

-red-dahlia-by sfaliceComment: That worked really well! Masses of color are tough; I'll have to try this technique on a similar problem subject sometime. |

Day-Glo Roseby GeneralEComment: Love the rose (and the black velvet idea ... takes me back a few years). Not so fond of the lime green leaves; I think I'd paint them to match the darker green leaves. |

Lily in the Sunby GeneralEComment: Love the backlit petals, the big one and the smaller yellow and white ones on the side. And the sunburst; those are always awesome. |
