Pandaby RinsyComment: A toy doesn't quite qualify as a pet in my mind, and the very bright light is fairly overwhelming to the panda. |

i feel dizzyby jjmonkey1993Comment: A low perspective can be interesting in a pet portrait, but in general too close a view of nostrils is not visually pleasing to many people. Lighting is exceptionally bright and not flattering. On the plus side, it looks like maybe the dog was getting a chest rub, so at least the portrait session wasn't stressful for the model. |

Nobody's Petby h_sikkaComment: Unusual choise of subject for this, and given your title you apparently weren't trying to meet the challenge with him. Color is unnatural and somehow even the teeth are orange (maybe a hue shift); shot is in need of some sharpening, but then I suspect you were not trying to win a ribbon with this one so perhaps these were all artistic choices. |

Got Nuts?by scooter97Comment: It looks like he has no ears! Kinda' skinny, too, poor thing. He has obviously not found my birdfeeders ;-) |

Australian White Ibisby jomariComment: Check out those lacy black feathers! I can just see them on a very ostentatious hat ;-) After the birds molt, of course! |

Little Black Bunby IlAshesComment: Aw, I love bunnies :-) I have a black and white girl who looks a lot like this from a similar perspective, though I'm betting she's older than this model (my girl is about 7). I think a fill light from the right would have helped bring out the rest of the detail on the face, and I'd try to arrange the backdrop so there wasn't such an obvious horizontal line. I know it's tough to photograph bunnies, though, so a bonus point for the effort! |
