I adore these little guys with their big eyes and frequent chatter. They're just cheery little birds, I think. I see many every day all year round, so it seems odd to me to just have your first one show up! Cute shot with the snow.

Good detail on the fur. I think I would have included the mouth in the crop and/or angled it a bit more; the composition feels off to me. Not a fan of the glowing green pupils; I would suggest either bouncing the flash off the ceiling or in PP desaturating and darkening the greens or shifting the greens to brown and darkening.

Dog is adorable and the carpet is a good background. The tennis ball makes a nice prop. Shot could be a little sharper on the face. Big issue here is the glowing green pupils; options are to take the shot with a flash bounced off the ceiling instead of pointed at the dog, or in PP either try desaturating and darkening greens or shifting them to brown and darkening.

Lovely cat (medium-haired black cats are a favorite of mine) but there are some things I would do differently. A sheet or blanket behind the cat would create a nice, non-distracting backdrop, and bouncing the flash off the ceiling might eliminate the glowing green pupils.
