I like the shot and the positioning (good composition). I do wish the background was a bit more black or dark to give additional contrast to the gateway. Right now the entire picture takes on a yellowed or light orange(ish) look. 6.

I like the photo. The starbucks wording on the shot glass is a bit shadowed and takes away just a bit because I am search for the items in focus. Nice DOF.

The colors of the baloons are fantastic and the composition of the shot is as well. But the image as a whole looks rather flat and does not give the depth needed to see where balloons are in position to one another.

First Things First

I think you had the right concept going here but the color scheme in the room doesn't really enhance the subject. These are merely suggestions from an ameteur so take them for what they are worth.

1) The angle of the phot comes off titled and makes you want to turn your head to get things in alignment. Might suggest a different crop and rotation.

2) The colors are all very neutral. I can see just on the right bottom edge that something had some yellow and reds and those colors would have been a nice addition. Right now everything gets lost as there is no color contrast.

3) Not sure (or at least not positive) that the title is conveying what you want to convey. It is probably, "First things first" from the aspect of time to hit the commode upon waking. But, with the bath products barely visible in the bottom right, it could be that you want to emphasize that you neeed to wash hands, put on deodorant, or brush teeth first.

As stated above, I think you were on to the right idea, it just did not come off, to me, in the best fashion this time.

Anyway, I hope at least a little of this above is useful.
