The light from the road across the photo looks as if something happened during the shot and a line of the photo was not exposed.

Northen lights express

The northern lights are very nice. The lighting on the pile of rubble and trash is nice, but I don't really get a railroad feel from it. I get more of a trash pile accumlated on the shore line and that the pile includes two strips of iron.

The technical composition of the photo is quite nice. It just doesn't rate strongly in the challenge perspective for me.

I like the concept but the engine is so small and placed so far to the side that I have to go looking for it. The perspective is nice with the elongated track and colors are fine, the composition just needs a little tweaking.

From the image, (without looking at title) I first thought it was a DNMC image as it looks like a barn door or something. But then realized it may be an old boxcar and then saw the title.

Not sure if it was done in post processing or if it was due to the outside lighting, but the image has a bit too much red in it (it 'oranges' the overall photo and takes away from some of the great colors in the composition. 6.

The colors and composition are fantastic. I wish it had been taken at a faster shutter so that the train was not blurred. Rather than appear moving, it just appears out of focus to the viewer. 6.
