When the challenge is over I'm going to look you up so you can tell me how you lit and processed this. I love it. it totally reminds me of the Ken Lee Quadtones, and that guy's a Pro. this is awesome. well done.

the colours are magic, but it seems to have lost it's photographic quality to me. it would make an amazing painting, and will go nicely on your wall. I might have dodged the highlights on the shadowed side of the building a little to bring out some more detail.
overall very nicely done, and a well executed pirece of art.

remeniscent of one of my favourite DPC fotogs. beautiful toning; love the DOF. The decision to include the shadows (in fact highlight them through the title) was nothing short of brilliant. wonderful theme and a very moving image.

Magic. Love the muted colours, and particularly the subtleties...the burned background, the slight dodging in the face to bring out the finer point of this cuties face. Alecia pointed out the most significant part of this whole pic - you can see her reflection in the bubble - awesome. Great pic - 9

great idea...little weak in the lighting department in my mind. the lighting on the boxer is quite flat, and loses a lot of detail. you did a fantastic job on the shadow. I'll be interested to see how you did it. the spewing slobber was a nice touch :)

someone said to me earlier (before i saw this pic) "have you seen 'Maid'? If that's not Bianca's a$$, I'll print the picture and eat it" Now i know what they were referring to. :)

Great shot - love the apparent shallow depth, though that may well be Gaussian Blur - I can't tell. nice job.

I'm guilty of overburning a lot of the time, and in my mind you've done almost exactly what i would do :). it makes for a neat effect - kind of surreal - but looks quite unnatural; The 'shadows' at the front don't seem to mesh with the shadows on the buildings or in the sky. Nice composition though, and fabulous colours.

sweet. really like this. might like it even more without the sundial, frankly. fab contrast in colours, and simple lines. it takes a good eye to see this kind of shot. I'll bet the surroundings would paint an entirely different picture.

love the catch lights in her eyes (reflector? most likely). A little blown out through the trees which gives the initial impression that her face is underexposed, which i don't believe it is. Nice placement of the model in the frame, and nice use of the tree to frame her face.

great concept, but i don't love the execution. specifically i don't dig the graduated transitionon the shorts (fading out). i prefer how you did the boots with a clear-cut transition. lighting is pretty good, but a little overdone on the right. a reflector onthe left to brighten his face would have helped i think.
neat idea - out of the box.... i like that.
