Yellow Twistby TampaDanComment: looks like a velvet Crown Royal bag :) should get bonus marks for that alone :)
not sure what rotating the image does. it doesn't hurt it necessarily, but doesn't really help either. lighting is good, and it seems well focused and sharp. other than that, it's a little mundane, though technically sound.

Autumn Colorby efrenComment: beautiful. i' a big fan of macro photography when it's of interesting things...like this. i wonder if this is one of the ones that people are talking about that are being called orange? seems yellow enough to me, but you never know. The anal-ysts can get pretty picky around here. the wide crop adds to the image i think. very nice PP as well - sharpness, contrast, depth...all spot on. well done.

Old Yellowby BlackdogComment: not a huge fan of your border; it draws my eyes to the outside of the pic when the bike is where i want to be looking. love the grittiness of this. i like to shoot this sort of thing. cool random find. well done. art doesn't have to be pretty. |

Yellow Is Dandyby kadac00Comment: nicely composed. lighting a little flat....but i'm a little biased as i love really contrasty stuff. i like the perspective. it's the way we mostly see dandilions ...from above.
good shot. |

My Sisterby BKerrComment: bringing her forward a little and using a shallower depth of field would soften the background a bit , taking out the wrinkles in the backdrop and diminishing the shadows a bit. a soft light from the lower left would brighten her face up some too so we could see her eyes (dodging the highlights in PS would have the same effect)
great smile, very nice crop and angle of her head. soft focus (i assume added after the fact) is very nice as well. overall a very nice portrait.

She loves my yellow shirt and tie.by smithmaComment: the yellow doesn't exactly smack you in the face, but i kinda like that. subtle shot...nice lighting. This is going to sound really picky, but i shoot a lot of models so bear with me: the shadows are a little heavy in the lower half of the picture, and because the shirt opens at the bottom, it gives the impression that she gets wider in the waist. either softening the shadows with some fill light or bringing the shirt in at the bottom would negate that for the most part.
the concept is great. love the tight crop too.

More Than Wordsby ellamayComment: quite the contrast from the smiling Zeus with a glass of Pinot that I always envision. :)
Great shot Lynn. Very nice PP as well...can't tell if that's sunlight highlighting his face, or dodging. The fact that i can't tell is a very good thing :)
congrats on your green

Cure for the Bluesby sherComment: love the shallow depth. lighting is almost perfect as well you maybe could have used a diffuser to lessen the reflection on the vase, but other than that it's fab. better perspective than most of the flower shots as well.
