yes. for sho the photo as a whole is better whithout the sweater blown out. I think you're right her face looked exceptional in the more edited version and it was a good choice. however advanced editing allows you to spot edit, so there you go - select her face and edit one way, invert the selection and edit the other :)

I'm not picking up the emotion in this shot. the model seems stiff and isn't making eye contact. perhaps a hair light and a bigger softbox would illuminate her personality a bit.

nice shallow DOF and clarity though - hallmarks of a good macro IMO. :)
