mirror matesby undieyatchComment: No idea why you left the lens blue...I can't see how it adds to the image at all. the rest of it though - excellent. the quirkiness of this is very appealing. :)

Untitledby littlegettComment: you know...I struggle with images like this. one one hand I understand the emotion that goes with exposing yourself (pun intended) like this...it can be very humbling and equally terrifying to lay it out for all to see.
on the other hand the extreme processing wouldn't be acceptable in any other challenge that didn't involve such a vulnerable subject. Obvious haloing and posterization...blown out highlights, pixellated shadows...they all really detract from the image and take away from what could be an emotional and candid image.
A real bitch to vote objectively on :)
however...all that said, I'm going to overlook the technical deficiencies (for the most part) and give it a 6, because I empathize with the motivation to enter, and the fear of offering too much.
No idea where the rambling came from. gonna move on now :)
good luck with the image.

Umbilicusby ksymeonComment: bonus marks for using the word umbilicus AND spelling it correctly :)
a fairly safe entry, but well done nonetheless. sharp focus and well lit...which is saying a lot since lighting water droplets can be hella difficult. nicely done.

MAJESTIC by AlexSaberiComment: Jayzus...over an 8 and you get SECOND place? Hard luck bro - fabulous shot. No disrespect to the winner, but this was the winner in my eyes. |

Pleasure by AnastasiaComment: Nasti? gotta be. the model and water look familiar, and of course the lighting and technicals are perfect...all this spells a Kapluggin shoot if I ever saw one :)
well done

Pureby thegrandwazooComment: i'm interested to see how this one does...very similar to what I *almost* submitted. I went another direction...we'll see if I made the right call :)
Beautiful lighting, sharp focus - subtle approach to the challenge. nicely done.

ps...not sure about the light that catches her left arm - might be a little more balanced with out it. not sure. doesn't affect my score either way. |

The Temptationby toddheadComment: Very nicely done, Todd. Soft pose, perfect lighting as always. The partial desat is a little bit cliche for me, but that's a personal preference. the rest of the shot is more than good enough to make up for it...should go over well with the DP crowd :)
By the way...offer Macey my congratulations on getting the ripped bod back...no way I'd have guessed she was a mom of two if I didn't know better.
Good on ya both...excellent entry.

Hotelby dimitriiComment: lots of great stuff going on here. very natural pose, and the situation tells a perfect story (made better coupled with that title). I'd have given it a bit more light myself, but understand some models are shy and not ready to be that exposed (may or may not be the case here)
either way, very nice job - should score well.
