Prayers For Spainby MWittComment: nice take on the challenge - i like the emotion (I am certain it's real), and i like the technical aspects as well. nice tones, nice crop.

Selfportraitby willemComment: the background is a little blown out which ends up bleeding into your hair a bit, but the lighting on the rest of the picture is excellent. You've made very soft shadows which give enough facial detail without too much harsh reality :)
i like it.

Solitudeby moodvilleComment: If this isn't a Moodville picture then you should be proud that you made one worthy of her. this picture actually makes me sad to look at. I have no idea what she's thinking, but it tugs my heart either way. fabulous tones. the shallow depth really highlights her expression. love it.

Jenineby rj324Comment: a little overexposure can be a great thing with a portrait, as it can do generous things for skin tones and texture. that said, i think you pushed it a little too far here. other than that, this is fabulous. my favourite so far.

Passionby mbardeenComment: not sure that i see passion in this (maybe your passion for the subject?:)), but i like it anyway. the lighting is a bit harsh, making for some blown out reflections, but the picture shows a great deal of character. nice crop.

Letting Go of Another Ex.by JoelHSmithComment: hilarious description. little lower aperture (if the oly allows it) and you get a faster shutter (sharper pic) and shallower field which would add some depth.

Constraintby jenesisComment: K now that i see this one i think you made the right choice. I loved the other one, but this certainly highlights the shallow DOF more than the other, though like you, I prefer the other picture.
great job.

Boundby jenesisComment: This rocks Jen. I love it. i recognize the duotone :)
I haven't looked at what you did submit for shollow DOF, but this would have done fabulously, assuming fabulously is a word. If it isn't, it should be.
