Window Dressing

This image is everything that it should be to be a winner in a/the distrations themed challenge. There's a distinct focal point, yet the distracting elements serve not only as a distraction, but an enhancement. This was hands-down my pick for the blue.

The first thing that came to my mind once the perfection of this image set in was, "Damn! Why didn't *I* think of this!". I have shot similar images, and particularly like them.

Well done, Dennis, and congrats on your HM.

Anita, I cannot see why this didn't do better. On initial view, I wasn't sure I liked the graininess, but after simply staring at it a while, I can't imagine it without it. it adds to the raw feel of this mountaintop moment of nature in all her glory. Severely underrated IMNSHO.

Sailing into Distraction

I gave this a 4. In my opinion, it seems to have no particular direction/object of focus,so it comes across as confused rather than with distracting elements.

Great image, but unfortunately to this viewer, the stars enhance rather than distract. To me, though a fine image, DNMC. No vote to take away from the intrinsic loveliness of the image.
