Old Bridgeby santiago9erComment: Well....first of all it looks a bit too dark. Secondly, the sepia tone seems to be taking over. Areas that should be black (such as the shadows under the bridge) are actually brownish. Perhaps the white-balance is off? I'm not sure. It could probably be fixed in photoshop... But other than that, this looks like a really beautiful image! I like the fact that you used the sepia tone (even if it didn't turn out :)) The composition and the reflections are really beautiful! Keep up the good work!:) |

YKKby GinaRothfelsComment: Well, I guess I agree with most of what Konador said below... it does look a little over-sharpened, but still, this is really cool! It's an everday object in a new and interesting perspective.
As for the crazy score...I can just as easily picture this in the 6.0 range or in the 5.0 range. I can NEVER figure out what the DPC voters are going to like! The only theory I can come up with is this: if I personally like a photo, it will score horribly. :) |

Planet Melonby LevTComment: Awesome! This is very creative... I'm suprised it didn't score higher. (okay, maybe I'm not. I've seen lots of great images get dumped in the 5.5 range for no apparant reason) :P The lighting is beautiful, and the composition perfect. I love this! |

the labby arsenalComment: Yikes! :) The post-editing you did here gives this an extremely cluttered feel to it... You've captured this quite interestingly. Excellent! How did you do this? Just burning and dodging? That's sort of what it looks like. Cool.

liberal skiesby arsenalComment: I have the uncanny feeling this is a statue of some sort, but it's certainly a really cool photo! My only complain is that the white-ballance appears a little off - there's nothing really white in the photograph. For example, the clouds in the background are sort of yellow. But I'm just being picky! :) Good shot! |
