I usually take the easy way out and don't comment on submissions I rank low. But I guess that is not fair. I start with a shot as a 5 for average. If it's better than average, I add points. On the other side I subtract for specific things. In this case one each for poor composition and cropping, indistinct focus, not on subject, and just a snap shot.
