The tone reminds me of old diner dinnerware. Nice sharp focus. I like the abstractness but the reflection in the background distracts from the cool patterns of the dishes IMHO. Still a fun photo.

Very static and not too interesting to me personally. Sorry. Your focus if nice and sharp and the desat adds some interest.

Good idea to get down lower to shoot this, but perhaps an even lower angle to add interest and maybe having the coffee brewing/dripping for the shot (omg, and Irene/water(coffe) droplet shot, lol. Even I couldn't do that!). * You could still do the desat look, but maybe bring up the red to make the switch stand out...something.That might have helped the brown of the coffee had you had some. * Another thought would be to flip open the coffee basket with fresh filter and coffee unbrewed, then shoot down instead of up. All just thoughts. :) Hope this is a little bit helpful (I didn't enter this challenge so you are already ahead or me.)
