This really did give me a laugh--I love it that Nature is so vast, the Egret is just one lonely little ol' bird. The colors are quite hectic, is that your hand-held lens (what a cool idea) or what?

Odd Domino Rally

I think you got the DOF perfect. But I don't much like the BG, for me it doesn't go with the idea of a rally or w/dominoes. JMO!

P&S Day 10 - Wetlands

I've had some very similar experiences--I create a richly colorful, detailed comp & when it saves for web it becomes something else. Which leads me to wonder if that's not the explanation for why so many of the winning photos on competition sites seem simplified to my eye. Hm. Interesting thought. On this ViewSonic monitor the greens are fabulous but I'm loosing the flowers unless I zoom in by getting my eyes closer to the screen. It's good to experiment.

Sure made the details pop! I like everything but the wood, the color looks a bit too unrealistic to me==but I like the leading lines it creates. I'm looking forward to the next HDR from you.

Nicely moody, & a great sky. Well done removing the noise. The silhouettes are dramatic but those gulls just look sooo relaxed.
