the dog days of summer, I can feel the bright sunlight in this. You got lucky, this is perfect. Almost like you captured a memory from your own mind.

haha were you driving? Maybe whoever-it-was got tired of such a carefully printed reminder & moved on. And up.

Miss Emma is curled up on her own little flying carpet, hovering near a nice sunny window. Variations of the marine blue tone combine to creat a very peaceful, comfortable feeling. Share as many of these as you like, I'm ready!

I see surrealism. The boy could be much taller than the girl, & he's wearing a more dominant color, but the flattening effect of the camera & the light puts him on the same plane as the girl, & makes it all very...surreal. And of course there's the obvious metaphore of the kids on the rocky, interesting shoreline of childhood gazing out at the flat, horizonless vista of their future. The girl is looking over her shoulder, perhaps in farwell or perhaps in regret. The boy is looking for a boat & a breeze. Anyway, I realize these are your happy, contented kids, don't mean to say anything that will upset you, this is just what I see. It is a very evocative shot, for me. [eta] I don't see a snapshot, though. "D

Yes, I get a feeling of manic glee & speed--on this side of the barrier. The distortion adds a fun carnival-ride feel.

a nice Mona Lisa smile & a very nice, simple portrait. Someday her kid will say "you were so beautiful!"
