Cool and Calmby banmornComment: With the stripes it could almost be the national flag of an island nation. The shadows in this are interesting, painterly shadows & there is nice detail--I catch myself wondering what it would look like in BW. |

Bee's paradise?by larushkaComment: The contrast between the filled-with-light petals (they look made of glass) and the earthy reality of the bee & FG petals holds my interest. I like looking at it. The negative space is filled with energy & depth that complements the subject. Maybe the best shot of a Bird of Paradise flower, ever. 10 |

Live Out Loud!by dtremainComment: This is the most intense red color I think I've ever seen, or tried to photograph. The colors are so hot they look fake, even in real life. Looks to me like your reds are a little bit clipped (so were mine). I get pretty good results metering on the green leaves. Anyway, a 10 from me for the sheer operatic bravura. |
