Orange on blueby gpureticComment: Pastel orange--such a delicate color against that field of blue. I admire the crop, too, a truly lovely flower comp. Please accept my humble admiration & this Gilded Lily--

A Topsy Turvy Ladyby MaryOComment: Sweet! Yep, I handhold all my macro shots, too, I don't have the patience/concentration to use even a monopod out in the field (it was so hot/humid this morning). Nice detail in this--you're lucky to have ladybugs. I hope you can get a shot that includes a ladybug & an aphid, that would be so cool. |

Day Lilyby KelliComment: Looks like it caught sunbeam. Love the lilies, & their intense colors. A challenge to shoot because of the air between the petals & the depth of the flower. I was at the botanical garden this morning shooting in the lily garden. It was so hot, humid, & airless but I never felt a thing as long as I was composing my shot. I'm posting them to my Botanicals 2010 folder, if you want to browse. Always enjoy your work Kelli, it's fun to be in a side challenge again with you. |

Caraganaby JustDuckyComment: A 12-ft shrub? are you serious?!!! Do you by chance have a scenic shot of it? It looks like a desert plant of some kind or at least a dry climate.
Sweet shot, nice colors, good DOF& the little hairs are always so cute. |
