One of my favorite subjects, so of course it went straight to my heart. The subtle 'cloudy day' color shows off the droplets very well. Please accept my humble admiration & the Gilded Lily for (IMO) excellent flower photography.

looked at this for a long time, while I ate my breakfast, & it grew on me. it is the beautiful, subtle variation in shadows that makes this shot. I'm wondering if you tried w/no noise, & what that looked like.

I am very curious about the grid I see on this, if you did it on purpose & how? I like the way the cliffs almost make faces, but not quite. And the way the text is inconspicuous. Sweet.

[eta] I did look at the larger image. I agree, it causes almost physical pain sometimes to decrease the size & loos all that lovely detail. Thanks for the extra notes. Very interesting. Would that make it impossible to print well?
