You might be interested in my shot of the hydrangeas here. I love the way the petals dissolve away in the weather leaving only the structure behind. Lacey & delicate, yet strong. The natural sepia tones are gently fascinating to look at. These are little flowers, presenting many choices in composition. You have some fascinating conversations between shadows & details here in these 2 shots..

Love the little bits of shadow on the petals. The dreamy creamy BG is in beautiful contrast to the crispness of the blossom. It's wonderful to keep a garden, with the gifts from friends/gardeners and the volunteers brought by the birds to grow in odd corners. I miss my old garden.

This is one of my favorite ways to PP a flower, soft & dreamy, with a hint of crisp petal edges. I guess the brushwork created the texture?--good work!
