Supper at Emmausby ecmguyComment: I googled your title to see what would come up--thanks for using that title. I was reminded that photorealism as a genre of painting has a very long tradition (way before the word was coined). IMO you used the light very well to create a painting, my first impression of this was not a photograph, even in the thumbnail size it looks like a 17th century oil painting. Good job!

Mondrian cakingby hajekaComment: Well done! Waiting for your notes. You made a natural abstract & a photo that just naturally has painterly qualities. Unusual. And I always love it when you can eat the still life later.
Here is a flying pig for this fine Mondrian cake collage.

the misfits, circa 2013by cutoutComment: I don't know...I see an eviscerated teddy bear smoking a cigar. Ha! Mostly I like the black lines & shadows, the carnival color, & the energy. Photographic origins have transformed into an energetic expression of art. Thank you!
Here is a Flying Pig for abstract excellence.

Spring Petuniaby JudiComment: That is a perfect storm of purple--any petunia would be so lucky. And the setting is just right. Well done! This could be (should be) a fold-out fashion photograph in Vogue. |

Impression of Monet - Water Liliesby photokopComment: Good choice of texture & very nice colors. The aspect ratio & camera angle work together well here. It would be fun to print this & hang it in the museum next to Monet. |

Split by galatia_nComment: That's a lot of bicycles, & some lovely blurred pedestrians--couldn't be the USA. Then I zoom in on the street signs. Aha! This is charming. |

get more from your cloudby PennyStreetComment: It is better to be lucky than good! Perfect clouds, perfect light, perfect timing. I wonder if you had to lie on the sidewalk to get it or place your camera against the building, or...oh who cares! It's brilliant! |
