pinkby flahermaComment: I have gone from not getting this one, to calling it up on my screen just to look at it. |

Not So Still Lifeby Samantha_TComment: This is so charming, I keep trying to look past the effects filter to see it better.
Beautiful light & shadow. |

Essence of Tulipby namComment: And wouldn't this look absolutely fabulous printed on a large canvas, hanging on the wall in a room that didn't get direct sunlight. This painting would provide all the sunny light anyone would need. I like the way it's mostly abstract, but not quite. And of course I love tulips. Good work! |

the cowardby jmritzComment: I admire this. The way you use your camera to create art. Thank you.
And here is a Flying Pig to let you know how much I appreciate this.

Abstract Ladyby illini75Comment: That's one big green hat she's wearing! The reminds me strongly of painting with a palette knife. Sweet! |

Blossomsby snafflesComment: If a photographer could be somehow reassembled as a painter, this is the kind of photo-realistic painting that might result. In the struggle between the dual nature of this composition, I can't say which is dominating--the photographic nature, or the painterly one. I like the restful tones, the excitement & clarity in the light, the motion blur in the blossoms, the contrasting texture of the old wood. I hope it's hanging on a wall somewhere. |

The Last Journeyby gyabanComment: This had an immediate strong emotional impact on me--pity, and love. I didn't click it open again for several days, but the emotion stayed with me.
Here is a Flying Pig HM for subtle Chiaroscuro with a camera & a contemporary Pieta that is worth looking at many times.

The Dressing Down by vawendyComment: I admire the use of light in this shot, to illuminate the tableau in a way that effectively counters the usual flattening effect of photography. What I mean to say: this looks just like a Old Master. And it's amusing! Good job.
