The placement is a little off. The moon is big and bright with good detail. The sky is bland in tone. Tried to take a shot tonight of the hunters moon. I didn't have any luck getting the color right.

Excellent! The head is on the 1/3rd vertical plane. The eyes intersect the horizontal plane. The fence leads you to the eyes. Perfect lighting and dof. AND not a horsefly in sight! I so want to pet that soft nose!

That sky is really nice. The bird is not in the intersection of the 1/3rd plane. I would also like it if he was looking toward the camera. Or you could have b&w it to give it more of the creepy feeling the subject inspires.

That looks like an image taken by Lee Frost. I would have liked it if the eye was clear and not clouded over. I like the texture of the scales. I dont like the white thing that seems to be hainging from his underside.

This is nice, I like the sepia but a little grain might have helped the 'antique' feel. I really love the farmhouse in the distance. The clouds are acting as leading lines bringing your eye into the statue.
The horizon is a tad crooked.

I would have liked to see more color on this. I love the one point perspective. You have red on the fellas cart in the front and the person further down the pier has red pants, its confusing on which is the subject.
If it is the guy closest to the camera, he is on the 1/3rd plane vertically but not horizontally. If it is the two at the further end of the pier, they are in the right position. But they are so small on the image that makes you think its the guy with the cart. The leading lines of the pier bring you back to the two at the end. I think you get the idea. Eenie meenie miney mo...

I love how her purple just pops on this shot. The golashes match the raincoat too! Excellent. The dark and gloomy feel of the surroundings match the subject perfectly. Great focus and dof.

One-Third Up The Stairs

The materials and textures here are nice. The lines give an abstract sort of feel for me, but I don't see a subject that is in the 1/3rd position to meet this challenge criteria. I like the curve of the banister but its showing noise in the darker regions.
