Bricks (Week 7)by booboo_goonComment: Got to agree with Ecce Signum about getting the whole arch in the shot - it's a pity. Otherwise the textures and the conversion are good. |

Week 7 - Trail Creekby wickee_oneComment: I was convinced I had commented already on this image, then realised it was a similar shot (colour) from the SOL side challenge! I'm not entirely sure what the Orton Effect that you used in this conversion is, but whatever it is, it seems to be very effective. This has a very soft feel to it, even though it's perfectly focused. Very nicely done. |

Lead Dogs - WK09by DJWoodwardComment: Great shot - you did a great job capturing the various expressions on the dogs faces. I do really like this a lot. |

Mill Reflection - WK04by DJWoodwardComment: What a good job you have done with this shot. The reflection of the building is wonderful. I think I would like to see this in colour too. |

Overpass - WK06by DJWoodwardComment: This is an interesting shot. It feels somehow top heavy. I'm not sure if this is an illusion, but it feels like it may be tilting to the left a little bit. I think the bridge itself is interesting on it's own. I do like the way you have converted it to B&W |

Winter Light - WK07by DJWoodwardComment: I love that the snow is really white. As others have mentioned, the positioning of the tree stump dead centre is somewhat distracting, I would like to have seen a bit more space to the right of it. The shadows are very well captured and the conversion to b&w is great. |

Fisherman (b&w 2008 #6)by nikolaosComment: Very dramatic. I know a little bit what Melethia means about wanting to adjust the horizon ever so slightly to the right. I would also love to have seen the rays of the sun just reaching the fisherman. That would be a different photo though and I don't think there is much wrong with this one! |

Week 6 - Fairhaven High Schoolby CapeSailComment: I don't have much to add that hasn't been said already. The angle you have taken this from is great. I presume you were crouched down a bit to get the steps included in such a dramatic way. |
