Poison of lifeby nickstyleComment: My highest rated photo in the challenge. I love the lines and texture created with the hair across the face. Wonderful light, good use of the frame and terrific pose. |

Night Flightby TemplemanComment: A very striking image. It almost seems a "negative" version of low key, as the subject is dark and the background light. Interesting. I like the detail and pose in the silhouette. Highly rated. |

Boyby kashiComment: Hi Kashi! Yes, definitely low light usage going on here. Not sure about the element in the bottom right corner, though I do like the slight touch in the top right corner (curtain/window?). Cute expression and a nice side profile. |

I hate turning blueby Ragga2000Comment: *Critique Club*
Initial Impressions: Great stylized blue portrait.
Composition: Great use of the entire frame. I like the fact you can see the whole arm. You also created some wonderful lines with the arm and the fingers. The pinky in line with wrinkles with the forehead is terrific. I like how the subject is looking down, but still engaging the viewer. I think I might have preferred a bit more depth in the fingers, yet keeping the body the same. Overall composition is nearly perfect.
Technicals: Sharpness is great as well as the contrast. Blue tint is perfect on the subject though it seems to bleed a bit on the top. Also isolating the white ( a slight blue tinge) on the bandanna would have added a bit. Maybe a little brightness enhancement in the whites of the eyes. Still technically it is quite good.
Overall: A wonderful picture that really evokes the emotion of hate. A nice score for an outstanding picture. Congrats.

Wayward and Confusedby PhotologistComment: I like the lighting and the simple textures. The simple grass/weeds and vertical line gives a nice balance to the composition for the figure on the left. Not my favorite pose, but gets the mood and idea across well. A wonderful picture and terrific exposure. Congrats on the score! |

I despise tornado skiesby skewsmeComment: All I can say this is a superb image! Very moody, tons of detail and a great landscape. Not sure how it fits into the challenge, but beyond that exceptional image! |

The Magic Forestby kiwinickComment: My favorite picture of the bush. A wonderful soft landscape with just enough detail in the trunks. Love the light you managed to catch. A terrific capture. |

Stairsby KMurattiComment: low key, this almost looks high key to me? I think I am missing it. Sorry, otherwise it is a great stylistic photo. Great pose, expression. Love those eyes in the dog and human subject. |

Low Key Self Portraitby IceZeroComment: Where are you looking? I am not sure about the background color versus the color in the face, seems to kind of compete. Focus is great, and I do like the lighting effect itself. Average rating. |

Skywardby escapetoozComment: Needs more depth to fully realize the potential. Still a nice photo, good textures, nice lines. Above average rating. |
