shiny circumference over dark diameterby posthumousComment: Wow a stunning shot. I really like this one. Simplistic beauty. The Pi thing, well it's there but not a bam in your face representation. I like the curves and the way the shrub/tree seems to be out stretching for the sun. |

He is the Chosen Oneby meyersComment: All I can say is Strange. It is actually kind of cool. It envokes a lot of different emotions and deeper thinking which is good. Technically a wonderful shot. Message edited by author 2007-05-11 12:38:44. |

Majestyby JuliBocComment: This is a nice B&W study. Maybe underexpose by a half stop as it is on the bright end. Good textures and I like the way the composition show just a bit of the lower legs. |

Welcomeby HipychikComment: Good symmetrical view. It has a little of that towering over feeling from a wide angle, but I think it works well with the door as the subject. Good detail in the shot and nice control of the exposure. Seems a to be slightly blue like the WB setting was set to Sun, when it was actually very cloudy out? Great shot for the challenge. |

No picnic todayby quiet_observationComment: When I went through the challenge voting, I didn't notice the strong symmetry. I just saw the side benches. Looking at it again it really looks like the symmetry subject is more about the metal frame. I think I might have missed this at first glance because the picture is bottom heavy. Not sure why I didn't really see the strong correlation before. A terrific image. |

Symmetry in Natureby kashiComment: A very nice host Kashi. Love the vibrant colors and the diagonal line/orientation. One thing I notice in your work flow above, you might want to try noise reduction as your first step, this way it doesn't get aggravated by your USM earlier. Just a thought. Still terrific shot. The consistency of your shots has greatly improved, you seem to be turning out high quality photos every challenge. |

Two bays, no waitingby jackal9Comment: Very simple but works well for the challenge. Good contrast really brings out the strong lines. Works for me (I gave you a 7). |

Of Dawn and Duskby LaMasComment: This is symmetry understated and as a result is a superb photo. The compositional elements are terrific and the use of lighting is terrific. The focus seems a bit soft, not saying mis-focused just soft. Also the right photo seems slightly askew or maybe just an optical illusion (yes I am nitpicking). I think this is a wonderful shot. |

Day 11 - Classic MGby CapeSailComment: Well the MG is no Jag XKE, but close enough. I like the perspective and the detail is amazing. While look out onto the field my not be the most entertaining the tonality in this image is simply amazing. Focus and depth are spot on. |

day-11-portrait.jpgby mawearComment: Cute moment. I realize the soft focus was intentional, but maybe a bit too much? Still I think the scene itself is terrific as well as the lighting. |
