I think it's literal rather then radical but regardless: very abstract. I think a tighter crop would have improved the overall effect. The focus seems a little soft

I gave this photo one of your 9's: the highest score this photo recieved. Even though it is a photo that I did not care for very much, I voted it high because I thought it fit the challenge well. Many voters must have not seen your intent: I don't like when that happens. So, I'm saving it as a 'Favorite Photo' so I can remember what a 'Secret Smile' is. The funny part is that one never knows why they are exactly smiling - sorry...
