This is really neat, the black is deep and the plastic really stands out. Normally I think plastic is an ugly substance for photographs but here it looks more like glass.

I had to laugh when I read your notes. Sunday I hurt my back taking a photo of a cream pitcher! Something about the way I was bending to peer through the viewfinder.

Anyway, I like your composition and lighting. I agree you should clone out the spots, and maybe clean your lens or sensor. It could also be the backdrop -- I learned this week how easily posterboard becomes soiled. :-{

Trevor, I think this is really good. I hadn't noticed the dark label until I read the others' comments; I guess it depends on where you want your viewers to focus.

You should send this to the pencil manufacturer! I think you did well to rotate the names away as you did. Color pencil shots are common but you did uncommonly well. I especially like the surreal way the colors fade into the distance.

Really nice colors in this. I'd prefer to see the whole treasure in focus and more perfectly horizontal (it seems to lean a bit to the left).

I wouldn't call this "uninspired" at all. I'm very tired, it took me awhile to get the joke (duh). Anyhow, very good b&w with an effective DOF. Your composition is good, but I wonder if the cup rim should be centered (more white space on the left), or if it is better as it is?

Really nice, I love the way the stair rails point to her head, and the Matrix-like contrast between the red and the greenish world.
