Nice collection of Hello Kitty goods. I wondered how the Mickey emblem fit in until I read your description. I think contemporary Japanese culture is fascinating.

Really excellent composition, Germaine. His body is at such a good angle it really implies speed, and I like how he is heading out of the frame while his head is turned to (presumably) check traffic.

I have an old photo of my cat (long time gone) yawning, and it's one of my favorites. Good sharpness on the kitty, and the fur really goes well with that green.

Not sure what you are asking about the background. I'm no good at replacing them, but if you just want to soften the noise or grain, you can do some careful selecting using your magic wand tool and then running a denoise or blur feature on the selected areas.
