Day 21a - Spinby colorcarnivalComment: Really neat -- beautiful colors. I've always wanted to try to get a photo like this. I'm driving through the midwest in late August, unfortunately just after the state fairs are over. Looks like you caught this at the perfect time of day. |

Day 18by hajekaComment: Excellent concept for a composite, though at full-sized view the jaggies on the circle are distracting. I'd definitely like to borrow your idea for use at another time. |

day 6 - computer chaosby GinaRothfelsComment: Funny how different photos grab me on different days. I overlooked this before but today it strongly appeals to me. The touch of green is especially nice. Nice blur! |

day 5 - my new best friendby GinaRothfelsComment: I like the sepia-like tones of this very much. Funny, from the thumbnail I thought it was a cigarette lighter, and imagined it was your new best friend because you were a heavy smoker! |

day 21 - exclusionby GinaRothfelsComment: I love the contrasting colors of the padlock, and the other shades of metal, too. The way you've cropped the gate makes it seem like a cross. Nice deep blacks in the background. |

Day 12 - "Off to see the Wizard"by BudComment: What a beautiful child (I love the wide-open pupils). The grain & b&W work really well. 1600 ISO? The room must have been dim, with most of the light coming from the TV.
The Wizard of Oz scared me at that age. I used to hide behind my dad's easy chair whenever the witch appeared. I also remember seeing it in color for the first time at a neighbor's, back before everyone had a color TV. Quite an experience. |

July 11 - Cruzeiro do Sul (The Southern Cross)by BudComment: I overlooked this before, but it really appeals to me now. What an interesting little boat -- I've never seen one like it. Good colors, well exposed, and of course I like all the water "above" the boat, which accentuates the boat's small size in a big body of water. |

Day 20by GermaineComment: I was in Tiburon once, back in 1988 or so. Hard to believe it was so long ago now. I still recall sitting in an outdoor cafe late one afternoon. I was amazed at the size of the seagulls. And then the fog came down out of the hills in what seemed to me a very menacing way!
What I like about this photo is the lone woman. She is grainy and in shadow yet she is a strong presence. Her face blends with the rock, but then the way the light hits her legs is very strong. |

Day 21by GermaineComment: Hey, this is really terrific. I love the colors, it is like seeing a bit of life in an otherwise dry world. The wall is high key without being blinding. The bit of grunge at the top helps ground this in reality. |
