Until I read your description, I thought this was a close-up of a thorn bush. I've never been to Wyoming and I'd never heard of the Antler Arches until today. Hard to believe that many Elk shed their antlers, and that there is more than one arch.

It's a dramatic photo, with the incredible "texture" in the foreground and the cloudy blue sky behind.

Whew. Well, the same independence that is turning your hair gray today will serve her well as an adult. Her body language is really perfect, knowing the story. And there she is, middle of the road, dwarfed by a roller coaster, a guy on a bike, a tall statue with an ax... great shot.

I love scooters, brightly colored Vespas and the like. I've often wondered why they aren't more popular in the U.S., though I guess that is changing. You may feel the need to move on from wheeled transportation, but I think these photos make a nice theme throughout your 50 day portfolio.

Roz, you rock! A mundane subject, yet you really do interesting things with it. If I had to choose between the two from today, I'd choose this one (though the other has the spot of red which looks wicked in the thumbnail).

Pretty bad, but my living space is much worse. :-p
However, I'm envious of your computer setup. I just have a little laptop at home. Somewhere I have a printer, too, but it's still in the box after a year.
White walls, eh? I hope that room gets good light.
I'll bet the Christmas paper is there to be used as a photo backdrop.

Cool photo, Sherpet, and another plant that I've never seen before. I notice your post-processing often gives an almost painted abstract quality to your subjects.

Helicopters overhead can be amazing loud. You didn't miss out too badly., I think you chose the best of the bunch, composition wise. I like the painterly qualities of the pp, too.

I'm surprised the Rebel freezes after 4 or 5 shots. My non-DSLR freezes after 3 or 4, but I thought DSLR's had signficantly more shooting power than that.
