Congrats on your ribbon. It's a gorgeous work. I would have scored it higher (I gave it a 7) if the subject had been "oil painting", but as others have indicated, to me it's not really impressionism nor even post-impressionism.

I didn't realize you had done this without photoshop filters. I would have scored it higher had I known. You are right, it does look like an 80's abstract! I don't think "modern impressionism" is a real movement.

I really love this image and gave it a "10" vote. I appreciate that it looks professional without mimicking the standard motivational poster layout, and that the sentiment avoids cliché as well. The best feature is the photo itself, though it's a bit too small, I love the angle and the three banded areas of sand, wet sand, and water.
