Golden Curves by moonwellComment: Wow, this really is colorful. Good control on the exposure (interior is bright yet the windows are blown). Good compositional shapes. |

The Tower of Timeby blacjackComment: I think this is an example of how a photo can be good without being super-sharp. I like the dreamy quality and the shadows on the tower. |

Columnsby pasaroComment: One of my challenge faves, so far. Interesting shapes, interesting detail, nicely composed, and I like the play of light and dark "steps". It's good that you are looking straight on and not looking up. |

Millie the Beautifulby hotpastaComment: Yes, I can see she would be a big help on those dangerous location shoots -- assuming the red on her muzzle is bad-guy blood. :-)
Cute pup! |

creepyby sacredspiritComment: Bad Storm Coming. I assume the "original" is unretouched and you increased the contrast on the inset? Pretty cool, and yes, creepy. |

PORTALby essayComment: This seems familiar - is it O'Hare airport? Interesting perspective, I'm wondering if you've flipped the photo! |

Historic Haunted Hotelby hahn23Comment: Looks familiar -- is this where they filmed the TV version of The Shining? Nice reds, whites & blues. |

Too Lateby JoAnna3853Comment: What a great old entrance, and I like the concept of the girl in front, but technically there are some problems: it's not very sharp, the girl sort of disappears against the background, the upper left corner is too bright and draws the eye away from the subjects, a lot of empty space down front, plus you've got the phone wires. Maybe shot at a later time of afternoon, with a tripod and a reflector or fill flash, would bring better results (though no recommendation for the wires, unless you can cut them down). ;-) |
