Day 1by MaggyeComment: Very attractive capture, with lovely slanted lighting. The body language of the subject is quite appealing. The skirt really makes the photo for some reason, I like the color and you've captured the movement nicely. On the nitpick side, the woman in the background is a distraction (to me), and the overhead awning, though oof, nevertheless intrudes a bit as well. |

Bag Ladiesby bvyComment: Such expressions! Interesting if not exactly flattering. :-)
A little blown out in places, but for a candid that's not so bad. The colors work for me. |

Lovebirdsby GermaineComment: Germaine, I think the over-exposure works very well, except for where it sort of bleeds into the walking couple. I like what the increased color saturation has done to the curb -- it's like they are walking next to lava! Nice connection between the couple and the Lovebird window sign. |

Day 01 - Married too Longby shalrathComment: Tremendous opening shot for this side challenge! Nice subject, and I love the sunlit woman in the background. And thanks for the advice on using the continuous focus. I tend to turn mine off as I often focus and then reframe the subject.
Your processing is very attractive, too. I really must learn how to use layers, etc! |

Enough Saidby grigrigirlComment: Glad to know you didn't bend the rules. I think what confused me about the person on the ground is that she appears out of proportion (too small) compared to the walking man -- which is why I thought she was added to the image digitally. Plus it's hard to tell, but it's almost as if she has a metallic mask covering her face. Anyway, intriguing image! |

That's a bummer, Dude!by jessy_pesceComment: Funny how many people didn't "get" this -- I thought your friend's expression said it all! And it never occurred to me the tattoo was anything but his tattoo. A different take on the subject, but meets the challenge. Definitely an underrated effort. |

Sploosh! by EBJonesComment: This was one of my challenge favorites as it succeeds both conceptually and visually. Congrats on your blue! |

Eddyby pawdrixComment: Good job, Steve. I admire your approach -- I'm not very good at approaching people! This probably wouldn't do well in a Candid challenge because many voters think it's not a candid if the subject is looking at the camera. :-/ |
