I agree, it doesn't look exactly like one of messerschmitt's, but it's good that it has your own style. Excellent job.

For some reason, this expression makes me think of Johnny Carson saying "Hmmmm, it's so good." Perhaps Obama is reliving an early marijuana experience.

Well, it's beautiful. I forgot to mention that the first time. :-)

Is this HDR? It has a painterly quality.

Dizzying! What a great shot. How the tech crew sees a performance.

I, too, was struck by the lighting. It is perfectly balanced. Terrific exposure. Oh yeah, sweet subject, too. :-)

Per your request for more comments: from your description, it seems you are up against many technical challenges. I think You caught a good action moment. However, the players sort of compete with the background, so maybe what is needed is a narrower depth of field. I might also rotate the photo so the "horizon" is straight, though you would lose more of the edges. Another suggestion would be to have the ball (or maybe a key player's face) at one of the "rule of thirds" points. Right now my eye goes to the empty space in the net.

I like this outtake -- the weary commute (at least he has a seat). Might be more effective, challenge-theme wise, if he was more obviously a businessman, but it works. I like the b&w, too.
